Our Journey of Faith, 4-16-2017

St. Mary Catholic Community Downtown Royal Oak Our Journey of Faith“Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and Hallelujah is our song.” St. Pope John Paul, II

Happy Easter to all of my brothers and sisters in the Lord! We are all truly blessed by our heavenly Father! Today, let us choose to focus our eyes on not what we can see, but to allow our focus to dwell and meditate on the power of the unseen glorious work of Jesus Christ in our life and in our world! Dare to believe and to truly see the work of the divine this Easter!

Let the words of Pope Francis assist your meditation.

“We proclaim the resurrection of Christ when His light illuminates the dark moments of our existence, and we are able to share it with others.” Pope Francis

“Jesus on the Cross feels the whole weight of evil, and with the force of God’s love he conquers it, he defeats it with his resurrection.” Pope Francis

“Having faith does not mean having no difficulties, but having the strength to face them, knowing we are not alone.” Pope Francis

“This is the good that Jesus does for us on the throne of the cross. Christ’s cross, embraced with love, never leads to sadness, but to joy, to the joy of having been saved and of doing a little of what he did on the day of his death.” Pope Francis

May you share your Easter light today and always,
