The Divine Ruler of All is With Us

St. Mary Catholic Community Downtown Royal Oak Pastoral Associate Notes

Lord, are the Most High over all the earth. Cloud and darkness surround Him; justice and right are the foundation of His throne. The heavens proclaim His justice, and all peoples see His glory.” Psalm 97:9,2,6

This psalm begins with God appearing in a storm and the devoted praising their God for His faithfulness and bringing help, justice and light into their lives. The people are rejoicing with full and happy hearts how God revealed His power in their lives. We all experience various storms or troubles in our life. Can you think of one in particular right now?

What did your experience look like during your storm?

How did it make your feel? And what did that same experience look like when you finally surrendered your trials and sufferings to the will of God?

What were your experiences like after your surrender to God?

How did it make you feel?

Did it become a peak experience of transformed faith?

Do you hold onto that transformed experience you had with God to help you when it is time once again to bear your cross and share in suffering?

Have you ever told anyone about your “transfiguration” experience?

Telling people your personal testimony helps others to desire a close, personal, relationship with God, too. Your testimony can impact people for the good. Don’t ever doubt that people will not be able to relate to your story. How can one argue with the simple fact that your life has been changed and your belief that God and only God had a huge role in your transfiguration story?

“It is impossible for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard.” Acts 4:20

Take some time today with the Holy Spirit to meditate on peak experiences that you hold onto or what experience holds onto you? Be at peace in the presence of the Divine always keeping in mind how much He loves you.

May the peace and love of God inspire you,

Christine Wagberg, P.A.
