“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.” Psalm 119:105
Our seven adults preparing to become Catholic at St. Mary have been walking on a very personal journey with Jesus. Jason, Nicole, Amanda, Kaitlin, Courtney, Catherine and Heather are greatly anticipating receiving our Lord in His sacraments at the Easter Vigil on Saturday, March 31.
I would like to share with you some brief reflections from three of our elect (those to receive all three sacraments of initiation) as they approach Jesus in the sacraments at the Easter Vigil. Please keep all of our participants in your prayers.
Question: How has your desire for the sacraments moved you? Courtney (elect) “It has literally moved me to tears more times than I can count. Every time I watch Fr. Paul prepare the bread & wine to become the Body & Blood of Jesus, I get overwhelmed & teary eyed thinking of all that Jesus gave for us so that we’d be saved.”
Question: What changes have you made in your life at home or at work? Heather (elect) “I have been having conversations with many of my Catholic friends encouraging them to go back to church!”
Question: How would you describe the role God plays in your life? Kaitlin (elect) “I have struggled for a long time to find the meaning of love in other relationships, always to be disappointed. God is the true example of unconditional love.”
