From Fr. Paul 8-6-2017
Some updates . . .
We are quickly moving through summer and some of our school staff is already back to work. I hope you continue to thank the Lord for the gift of these summer days. I also hope they bring with them some relaxation. There has been much activity with the number of couples receiving the Sacrament of Matrimony here this summer, staff planning for the upcoming year, and with our ongoing construction projects. I encourage you to support all those recently married and those preparing to receive the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony with your prayers.
I wish to thank everyone who has contributed to this year’s CSA campaign. With your generosity we surpassed our goal! You contributed to the many ways our Archdiocese helps individuals to encounter Christ. Our mission is always to foster a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ for the salvation of souls. Since we have reached and exceeded our given target, any additional contributions stay here at St. Mary. If you were still planning to give, you may do so and your contribution will stay right here.
We will be asking you to turn in your “Sharing our Talent” brochure next week. You may bring it to Mass and drop it off in the collection basket. Your commitment is greatly appreciated. We need your support to continue the many ministries here at St. Mary.
Our heating and cooling project is moving along quite well. Most of the ductwork in the upper ceiling will be finished this week. After our last wedding in August, our plan is to move into the Fellowship Center for our Sunday Masses during the first few weeks of September. I will provide you with more information in the coming weeks. This temporary inconvenience will give us a new heating system and the addition of air conditioning.
August is a month traditionally dedicated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. I encourage you to join me in asking Our Blessed Mother to lead us to be more faithful disciples of her Son, Jesus.
