Sacrament of Marriage

Congratulations on your engagement! We at St. Mary Parish are happy to help you prepare for your wedding day and the Sacrament of Marriage. St. Mary follows a policy that requires couples desiring to be married in the Church to prepare for a period of six months to a year. We are helping you to prepare for more than your wedding day, but a lifetime together. As your pastor, I believe this preparation is essential because we want you to have a successful, happy and holy marriage.

Your first step is to contact me, Fr. Paul at 248.547.1818. To be married at St. Mary, one or both of you should be a registered parishioner. A registered parishioner is someone who has a desire to be part of the St. Mary Catholic community, registers at the parish office, worships regularly on Sundays and gives their time, talent and treasure back to the Lord.

When you call, we will set up an initial meeting and together and we will go through some questions and set a wedding date in the parish calendar. Congratulations again and may God continue to bless you both.
